Love Explained

There is no contradiction between

mystical love and physical love.

They are one.

And when one you are in divine union

and ecstasy,

it is with the lover of all lovers.

Not just the source,

But love itself

Instincts and physiology may cause attraction

But from where does such a spark ignite?

From a mystical place within

Somewhere inside where a desire to share unlimited

Love is stored and bottled up.

Not for personal gain or control,

Or even immediate gratification

But in two gifts from god.

The first gift is all the magical nature of creation around.

Abundant in our lives … even if at times we have to look beyond our feet to find it.

It’s in the faces of those in our day

Waiting for us to love and treat them

As He would wish.

The other gift is freewill.

The ability to become what was intended

Or to swallow ourselves in self,

Only to find we have redefined love to be singular

A closed cell where I control the door,

Of an empty room.

The Song of Songs is no mistake,

Mystical union and physical can be the same;

A continuum of love in all experienced

The appreciation of beauty

With awe and wonder

Understood because the need to own it is absent.

Love is humility and servant hood and hope

Engulfed in a mystical desire to rest in God

For all our moments.

We cannot compartmentalize love

And then experience it.

We are love

Or not

At a given moment.

For true love is extending this moment

To forever.

Let Me Serve You Today

Each step is an active part of my love.

Moving towards the table needing clearing,

Responding to an empty cup,

Smiling to a face far from home.

Reponses vary,

According to mood and pressure.

Sometimes I am invisible,

No one sees me,

Only what I deliver,

And if it’s on time.

However, there is always one,

One who sees me and what I do,

For what it really is,

Loving and giving,

Supporting and consistent.

There when others need me,

No asking for gifts or rewards from them.

Just a smile and greeting,

To show they love me.

Just as I love them.

Lay still, you flower unfolded,

A life of great beauty and celebration,

Remembered as it was,

in full bloom.

Bright delicate colors,

Soaking up the rain,

And the sun.

Our reward;

A radiated beauty,

the intelligence of creation itself, exposed for all to see. Now emblazoned forever in our minds.

How Close Can We Be

IMGP9150 (1)

How close can we be?

A question for life itself,

What could have been?

What could be?

What should be?

My actions are controlled by nervousness

And excitement,

Somehow held in tension with each other.

Like my love has some limits

And can only be shared amongst a few,

Doled out in measures and packages

to be received in a certain way.

But what if my love had no limits,

If my love was connected to the source of all love,

So there was only me in the way of giving unlimited love,

To you.

If I could get out of the way,

Not limiting my love,

How close would we be then?

We would be together;

Enfolded.

Forever In Him,

In Love.

I’ll See You In Heaven

It won’t be long now

Just a lifetime

Before we can talk again

No need to worry about others

And what they think

About our friendship.

A word surrounded by barriers,

As well as love,

In this earthly paradise.

Soon those limits will be gone

And freedom and truth

Will be the marks of our love

For each other.

Not just agape love

Or erotic love

Or some other love

conjured by man

To poorly explain

our unfit and homeless,

Human desires and wants.

But rather free flowing love

Limitless,

Bottomless,

Eternal

Unfathomable,

From the source of all love

who will enfold us In unimaginable rapture for God and each other

Where deeds are irrelevant

The past is not present

There is no will in any

Just the presence of God

and that is all.

A pervasive consolation

Where we live not together

But in each other.

As the glimpse of oneness becomes

Permanent and permanence itself.

So it is here we will enfold,

At last as the true friend we always wanted to be

When the limits and measures are turned off

Forever and completely.

And this little glimpse gives me hope

And simple desire

To surrender this pathetic love

I have felt so far

Into the glory that will be the interminable future

Where our love for each other

Just is.

Unspoken, because words are unnecessary

And unworthy

To describe such a state.

Let me savor this waiting moment

With the taste of true love.

This little visit from a mystical God.

I Take This Cup

You offer a cup glowing with love,

Each drop so precious,

It would quench the thirst of nations.

So rich it would buy eternal peace.

The color of shed blood,

Spreading the odor of unlimited mercy.

I hold this cup in gentle hands,

Fingers enfolding everlasting oneness

As my lips take life itself,

And Heaven is tasted,

My body only the means.

And my soul is renewed.

Forever.

Summer Close

IMGP0775

Summer is coming to its close again.

Warm evenings with open windows to be replaced by the fresh chill of the fall air.

Our bodies adjusting to the seasons once again;

As shall the plants,

putting their growth and color on hold.

Till Spring returns.
