Loving Each Other
Loving Each Other …is the call.
Summertime butter,
melting into fresh bread,
lovingly seeps into every particle of fresh raised dough,
crisp from tearing and sharing,
with those you love.
Affirming love—for each other.
Awake at daybreak a glance to one side,
Affirms the day,
the lover is there,
fully at peace.
Postpones awakening for fresh tea or coffee,
Which whispers “I love you”
And a kettle gives thanks,
whistling its caring, signature tune.
As the day moves on, love wears a veil;
Drifting, as morning mist rises from a stream,
love seems to disappear but just changes clothes;
so now, I have to search for it,
with my heart as well as my eyes.
Each loving each other equally.
Loving each other is every breath
Every thought,
action,
starting in heart not mind.
So in my motives today,
filling the lake of mankind,
can I be a waterfall today?
Spilling love unexpectedly and unwillingly,
To those around me,
because I AM love.
