Let Me Into Your Life

IMGP1476 (1)

Let me into your life,

Let me be close to you without restriction,

Without expectations,

Just open to listening.

As a human who loves you.

Even though you do not know me;

At all or well.

It matters not.

For we can be friends like no others,

Just be being open to each other,

And God.

The three of us can rest in each other.

This beautiful day.

Let mistrust be gone this day.

And let the only change be borne of God’s desire.

Not my selfish needs.

Hail glorious St. Patrick

Dear saint of our isle

….. What a wondrous song.

I never really heard the words before

But now they shout from the mountain tops

And deepest canyons of my soul.

It is whence I came,

The Celtic root,

Where I return on my knees to lough Derg each year

In an attempt to understand.

Why someone said they saw St Patrick

Walking across a parking lot

On a Saturday afternoon

At a church in New Hampshire mountains.

That was me

Searching for an identity

Steeped in roots of religious change

Fifteen centuries ago

And ready for the same today.

For then they mistook God for the sun and the land

When now we deny his existence

And live in a void of emptiness

Filled with noise and self-love.

For Love is all around

waiting to be seen.

She’s the One

Knowing at first sight is not a feeling,

It’s a sense of onlyness.

This person is the one,

Beyond all others,

Not desire,

Desire is inadequate,

Not compulsion,

Because there is no avoidance in the move towards her,

Not reason,

As there is no “no” in the option list.

Just love,

That will be perfected in how ever many years we have together,

And many indelible stamps and souls left along the way.

I love her now, as always.

Love Explained

There is no contradiction between

mystical love and physical love.

They are one.

And when one you are in divine union

and ecstasy,

it is with the lover of all lovers.

Not just the source,

But love itself

Instincts and physiology may cause attraction

But from where does such a spark ignite?

From a mystical place within

Somewhere inside where a desire to share unlimited

Love is stored and bottled up.

Not for personal gain or control,

Or even immediate gratification

But in two gifts from god.

The first gift is all the magical nature of creation around.

Abundant in our lives … even if at times we have to look beyond our feet to find it.

It’s in the faces of those in our day

Waiting for us to love and treat them

As He would wish.

The other gift is freewill.

The ability to become what was intended

Or to swallow ourselves in self,

Only to find we have redefined love to be singular

A closed cell where I control the door,

Of an empty room.

The Song of Songs is no mistake,

Mystical union and physical can be the same;

A continuum of love in all experienced

The appreciation of beauty

With awe and wonder

Understood because the need to own it is absent.

Love is humility and servant hood and hope

Engulfed in a mystical desire to rest in God

For all our moments.

We cannot compartmentalize love

And then experience it.

We are love

Or not

At a given moment.

For true love is extending this moment

To forever.

Let Me Serve You Today

Each step is an active part of my love.

Moving towards the table needing clearing,

Responding to an empty cup,

Smiling to a face far from home.

Reponses vary,

According to mood and pressure.

Sometimes I am invisible,

No one sees me,

Only what I deliver,

And if it’s on time.

However, there is always one,

One who sees me and what I do,

For what it really is,

Loving and giving,

Supporting and consistent.

There when others need me,

No asking for gifts or rewards from them.

Just a smile and greeting,

To show they love me.

Just as I love them.
