Divine Darkness

Standing alone, a physical presence peers into the pitch blackness,

a dominion without dimensions

neither two or three dimensions, not just space

but also time, not an absence of light.

Lack of vision omits shapes and forms present but unseen to me,

trying to use physical gifts, I strain harder to see hidden content,

to understand what is there,

what it means.

Seeking forms that will become shapes in my mind,

grow into a vision,

then an understanding,

as if a person is there,

becoming a call for me to do … something.

Observe

ponder

discern an action,

wait for more.

Divine darkness is not the absence of physics

rather the presence of knowledge,

a knowledge holding truth safely in loving hands.

Meanwhile I stand a seeker and gazer into the dark

and pray, silently

as His plan reaches into the depth of my soul,

infusing my essence with a roaring peace

as I become one with the darkness and all it contains.

As His will is done.
