The strangeness of invulnerability,
Hermetically sealed … a presence within,
peaceful and serene,
seemingly undisturbed, or undisturbable.
Following His will, wherever that leads.
“He said to him, “Follow me.”
Gospel of Matthew

Gospel of Matthew
Let me chose delight this day,
Instead of turmoil, distraction, conflict
may peace be my only friend,
so I may rest in you.
This day and evermore.
“Instead, pursue righteousness, devotion,
faith, love, patience, and gentleness.”
1 Timothy
Prudence is a workout of your will,
Deciding what not just is right,
but what needs to be done,
not just for self, or even others,
But for God.
“Do not neglect the gift you have”
Timothy 1
Examine me, a lowly word,
Cherish me for a week,
See what I have done for you,
And what you have done for me.
Pick me now. Humility, wisdom, love. I matter.
“Beloved: I am writing you,”
Timothy
Make me vulnerable and open,
To welcome love and criticism as equal partners,
a listening heart, awakened, bleeding,
forgiving and understanding.
It is not weakness, but strength, and eternal desire.
“I will persevere in the way of integrity;”
Psalm 101
Faltering steps with bare feet,
Slip from one moss covered rock, to another.
Each move wobbly, tentative and unsure.
Until finally I falter, falling deep into the river,
submerged surrounded by His love,
an inner resurrection raising me to the surface.
I only see sky and feel water of everlasting life,
touching all body, soul searing upwards,
delighting in the sun and light radiating into me.
Like a log fire on a cold winter night,
I AM warm, secure, in His nature’s hands
Drifting down towards an eternal sea of love.
It is not lost, but was never seen or felt before.
A gift unknown,
A prize unclaimed,
Love unfound.
Suddenly revealed and all is won.
“Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.”
Gospel of Luke
The radiance of a person is not just physical,
But the source of their soul,
sometimes carefully concealed,
with false airs and adornments.
Needs to be released, like lungs seeking oxygen.
“With their patience worn out by the journey,”
Book of Numbers
Summer Rain
When it rains, the grass says hello,
Welcome, join me in growth and love,
take your riches and share them with me,
and we will wait till the sun shines and then you can,
Grow with me.
“Can a blind person guide a blind person?”
Gospel of Luke
Peace is a river washing over me on a warm summer’s day,
Sensual and soul filled, it cools and soothes me,
cleansing mind and body of all that is not God,
until I am joyous with torso bursting Spirit.
Like teenage infatuation, I lie clear; bathed in love; resting in Him.
“let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one Body.”
Colossians
